Defining best friend/s

Urban Dictionary says Best friends are the very special person in your life. They are the first people you think about when you make plans. They are the first people you go to when you need someone to talk to. You will phone them up just to talk about nothing, or the most important things in your life. When you’re sad they will try their hardest to cheer you up. They give the best hugs in the world! They are the shoulder to cry on, because you know that they truly care about you. In most cases they would take a bullet for you, cos it would be too painful to watch you get hurt.

These things are undeniably true. As what John Donne says “No man is an island.”

Each of us has our own best friend, it maybe our mom, our dad, our sister, our brother or etc. But most of us, is not our relatives. It’s a boy or girl-friend, a long time friend, a friend who’s been with you through ups and downs or a friend whom you trust the most.

They say there are two types of best friend:

Number 1 :

• The best friend who you’re real close to. You see them at least twice a week, maybe more. You talk a lot and catch up on everything.

Number 2 :

•  The best friend you don’t talk to as often, but deep down, you’ll always know that they’re your best friend. They understand you, although they barely see you. 

Normally, girls do have a girl best friends and boys have a boy best friend. But as our generation keep going, girls wants a boy best friend and boys wants a girl best friend.

Girls nowadays often says it’s so easy to have boy best friend than girl best friend. Cause reality check, girls are sometimes annoying, we tend to talk behind our back, we have a lot of dramas and we sometimes don’t like our flaws.

But having a boy best friend, you’ll get the best feeling when you share your problems. It’s so easy to be with them. No pressure, no doubts, no reason to be ashamed of and ALL REAL. But sometimes, they do things that a lover does and you’ll get to the point that you’re already falling for him. 

Being in love to your best friend is hard, it is like drinking a poison, killing you softly, get awkward feelings and confuse.
